Alterations and additions to an existing cottage in the Blue Mountains. The additions were conceived as a separate pavilion linked to the cottage by a covered walkway that also creates a sheltered courtyard. The robust steel structure protects against bushfires and cantilevers into the spectacular valley. Double hung frameless windows open around the perimeter of the living space creating a verandah in the treetops.
